Something rich and strange...

The following lyrics are thanks to Lyn who says: interestingly, the track is both highly appropriate and highly inappropriate! The first three verses could have been written for the series, but the last verse hints at the singer abandoning an old life, as well as marriage, both of which kind of fell through for Dan and Laura. Wisely, R.Pleasance chose not to include those verses in the episode.

Big Blue Above

I saw you cast your net
Up to the sky
You catch in the words
As they fly
Spray 'em with black ink
Upon a white page
Wrap 'em and bind 'em with
Your joy and rage

You got eyes of a devil
And an angel's tongue
With hands that know
Just what to do
To have fun
So catch me, wrap me
Bind me in love
Throw me up into
The big blue above

You threw me your smile
Like a fisherman's line
Hooked me right then and there
In no time
There was no struggle
No bid to get free
So I let you catch me
And have me for tea

Let's get the next boat
To Madagascar
I know the sea captain
He says it's not far
You say that this kiss
Will cost me my life
I say no problem
I'll be your wife
